yes - it's called filtrationIs it possible to wash water?
You can filter it.Is it possible to wash water?
I suppose if you froze it into ice, which then got dirty, and then you cleaned it, you'd sorta be washing water. Best I can come up with :)
Otherwise, it is possible to purify water through various means.
if by washing you mean to clean water then yes. water can be cleaned using various chemicals like flourine and chlorine.

Should i use hot water or cold water to wash my face?
What one should i use
that helps prevent spots?
or witch one is most likely to cause them.Should i use hot water or cold water to wash my face?
hot water opens your pores: good for before you wash your face
cold water closes: good for afterShould i use hot water or cold water to wash my face?
If you don't use cold water after washing your face in warm water, the pores don't close back up, and dirt and oils will be able to clog them, causing pimples, blackheads, etc. Rinsing in cold water after washing your face closes the pores and prevents this from happening.

wash your face with warm water. not only does it open the pores, but most fash washes and scrubs have main ingredients that are activated with warm water. then blot. make sure to use a toner or cleanser after! i've recently learned how important this is..
Use hot water before and after you scrub your face, as hot water opens pores and lets you clean them out.
Then use cold water to rinse, as cold water closes pores, and gets less dirt in.
Hot water first to expand your skin pores (this helps get all the dirt out)
Scrub with flannel or other scrubbing thing (soap or other face scrub/wash helps too =D)
Rinse with cold water
Warm water always.
Wash with warm water and blot with a towel to dry.
i use warm and cold water... dont use hot water, its too harsh on the skin!
lukewarm water!
Warm.
Cold just isn't good.
And causes dry skin.
Warm water ALWAYS, then cold water for rinse.
first use hot water, apply soap and than wash your face with cold water
hot water at first before you scrub
then cold water to rinse

Does the temperature of the water I wash my hands with affect dry skin? ?
As in if the water is scorching hot, or perhaps lukewarm, will either increase the dryness of my skin?Does the temperature of the water I wash my hands with affect dry skin? ?
Water temperature should be tepid -- hot water takes more oils away than cool water.
The length of water contact should be short -- no long, hot showers if your skin is dry.
Unless you have mud and grime on you, you really don't have to use soap everywhere on your body.
If you need soap, use one of the recommended soaps for dry skin that contain emollients and actually replace the skin's natural oils.
Using antibacterial gels for hand-washing does not cause the skin to dry out because the alcohol does not bind to the skin's oils
.
When drying off, pat the skin dry with a towel until the skin is not dripping - do not rub the skin vigorously.
Use a good moisturizer on the skin immediately after any contact with water

Is it okay to put clothes that wash in cold water into a laundry machine with warm water?
my mom only washes clothes in a machine with warm water and i have like a couple of clothes that say to wash and cold water. she has a lot to do and says she doesnt have time to do a seperate thing with 2 clothes that need to be washed with cool water. what would washing these clothes in warm water do to them?! would it just be better to wash by hand? thankkksIs it okay to put clothes that wash in cold water into a laundry machine with warm water?
The difference in washing something in cold and warm is that warm water can shrink your clothes. I wash everything in cold. You can also save money by washing it in cold. If your MOM wont wash it in warm. Then why do YOU do your own laundry and wash it in cold your self.Is it okay to put clothes that wash in cold water into a laundry machine with warm water?
When manufactures state you must use cold water then it is adviseable to do so as these fabrics could have high shrinkage and could ruin your clothes, you could add these clothes when the warm water has cooled down enough to tolerable to the fabric closer to cool water but still tepid these types of fabrics could then handle the temperature without severe shrinkage Good Luck !
Just put them in the warm water and hang dry them. :)

Is it okay to use bleach in hot water to wash white pants? will anything happen?
how much bleach and laundry soap?Is it okay to use bleach in hot water to wash white pants? will anything happen?
you could but they might shrink (especially if they have any spandex in them at all) i've made that mistake many times, now i use cold water and i don't dry them, i just hang them up and let them air dry.
(i wouldn't use bleach either, if they have any stains then use spot remover)Is it okay to use bleach in hot water to wash white pants? will anything happen?
Just do it.
1st. Fill washer w/ water then add bleach 1/2 cup add laundry soap.. once it starts agitating add pants.
Use it per directions on the bottle/box, you can buy color fast bleach too.
it is usually alright to use bleach on most whites but some wont take good to it best to check the washing instructions on the label of the item to be washed if there is an x through the bleach sign then dont use
Yes with certain materials after its dry yellow spots will appear
I put my white tank top in the sink with bleach and cold water, let it soak for about an hour, then i just rinse it really well then throw it in the washer with my other cloths!! It is VERY white, and doesn't smell like bleach or soak up any other color!! We have very hard water too-so you would be surprised on how white it is :) lol and I don't measure anything I just take of the top and pour!! Good Luck!! :)
For bleach to work at its best , you should use hot water. If you are going to do a laundry full of whites use the directions for laundry soap and bleach on the packages. if you are washing thenm by themselves, use about one eighth cup of bleach and two tablespoons of laundry liquid in large tub. agitate and let soak for a few minutes then rinse well , you could use a small amount of liquid downey too.
yes nothing will happen ur whites will go back to white
I don't know why it would hurt.
I agree w/ freaky gardener's response, however, most clothing says not to bleach, so you can't really go buy that.
Trial %26amp; error is how I learned.
Also, if you don't want to use hot water or bleach, try warm water %26amp; oxy clean/sun(generic brand); My sister swears by this %26amp; never uses bleach.

Name of a purple chemical used by the French to put in water to wash vegetables like lettuce?
while in Africa I learned that the French medics recommend the use of something that turns the water purple but then is used to purify vegetables before eating. I am looking for the mane of this product.Name of a purple chemical used by the French to put in water to wash vegetables like lettuce?
This is the chemical, it seems to be quite poisonous, I did not know that, we used to purify our vegetables for years with this component that was called Kali or something similar. The real name is Potassium Permanganate:

I don't know the exact product you are referring to, but when I was in Mexico City I had a solution I bought at Wal-Mart that I used to disinfect vegetables. You don't actually use it to wash the vegetables, but instead you soak them in a mixture of this solution and water. As I recall, the solution I bought contained silver as a disinfectant, and it was kind of brown in appearance. It seemed to me that it was kind of a generic brand. So similar solutions are probably available under many brand names. Hopefully it will be available for sale in the area where you need it.

How do you get off the stain on mirrors and screens after you wash them with water?
Whenever i wash my mirror, it always leave this streaks.
Also when i washed my t.v. screen, the screen got completely ruined!
Please help! How do you get off the stain on mirrors and screens after you wash them with water?
Water alone will not clean glass satisfactorily. You have to use a window cleaner, vinegar, or ammonia and water, though the new microfibre cloths can work without cleaners. The secret to streak free is to wipe the glass with lots of the cleaner, and then polish it dry with a clean cloth or paper towel. Or use a rubber squeegee if it's a really big mirror, wiping the squeegee off after each swipe across the glass.
TV screens often need a special cleaner and/or cloth, the new TVs that is. Old ones clean well when cleaned as glass, but spray the cleaner on the cloth, not the screen. How do you get off the stain on mirrors and screens after you wash them with water?
never spray cleaner directly to a TV screen -
use scrunched up newspaper to wipe out streaks on mirror
for the mirrors or glass-take a little car wax and apply lightly to surface allow to dry and wipe off and then take another dry cloth and go over again or you can use this glass cleaner that i think is awesome and DOES NOT streak and is safe for the environment and your family.here is a description

Is it true you can wash vegetables with water and bleach?
If so, how much bleach in a quart of water? Is it true you can wash vegetables with water and bleach?
It would have to be absolutely minimal. One capful for every 5 to 10 gallons of water. Is it true you can wash vegetables with water and bleach?
the best thing to wash veggies with, is Peroxide, and then rinse, or Baking soda, and rinse.
Yes you can but the bleach should be well diluted.
You can use a tiny bit of bleach in dirty water (out of a pond etc.) to steralise the water and is a recommended way (if you know what you are doing) to steralise water. However you need to know the correct dilutions otherwise it can become harmful. However at low concentrations is is completely harmless.
However, having said that, water should be enough on its own to clean vegetables.
not if you're planning on eating them. Bleach? No. Water does the job just fine.
bleach mmmm that doesnt sound good
No bleach at all it will soak into the veggies and taste like crap then make you sicker than a dog, Just rinse in water you will be fine.
Yes it is true. I normally use about 1/4 cup to a quart and after scrubbing the veggies they get rinsed in plain water.
You possibly could. Many people who raise rabbits use it to keep the bacteria down in the drinking water of rabbits to help prevent them from getting sick as easily. If you were to look on the old bleach bottles they showed the bleach being used for treatment of the water in kiddie pools. It basically has the same effects as chlorine in your water. So if you have city water there is no reason to add bleach to the water, because your water already has chlorine in it.
For well water, veterinarians recommend adding about 0.75 tsp to 1 tsp per gallon of water for watering rabbits. You'll want to use regular bleach. It's probably best to only use 0.75 tsp because most bleach formulas were made slightly more concentrated a couple of years ago so that you only have to use three-fourths compared to one.
if i had to wash my veggies in bleach, i think i would purchase them elsewhere water and brush (u can buy a veggie brush) work just fine
Absolutely you can and it's 1Tbsp/Qt and rinse after. I also use this ratio in a spray bottle to clean up and disinfect my counters and cutting boards. (on the advice of my microbiologist brother)
NOOOOOOOO, DON'T DO IT!!!!!
Bleach? Are you mad?
Running water and a scrub brush is all you need. Why use one chemical to get rid of another. If it's dirt you're worried about, I'd rather eat the dirt than let bleach touch my food.
!!No bleach!! Your water should have enough chlorine in it to kill off anything. People are becoming to mush of germ-a-phobics, that's why we're getting so sick all the time. Being exposed to a little germs helps build up your immune system. If you try living in a bubble all the time, your going to get sicker then normal when you go out. Mother nature has provided us with many good germs to help us out. Bleach is going to give you the runs!!!
that doesn't sound safe...bleach is a harsh chemical

If You are a perfume wearer shouldn't You just wash Your clothes in Hot water without washing detergent?
I think it's best for my clothes to absorb my natural feminine odor as much as possible.
I mean once You bathe, Your body has already been scented with soap, then lotion and then perfume so why add washing powder to Your laundry?
Who agrees and who doesn't agree? If You are a perfume wearer shouldn't You just wash Your clothes in Hot water without washing detergent?
Washing detergent isnt for making your clothes smell good (even though thats a plus !) Its for cleaning them.Even if your clothes dont look dirty..they are. Nasty daily dirt gets into the threads..anyways hope this helps :)If You are a perfume wearer shouldn't You just wash Your clothes in Hot water without washing detergent?
i don't agree at all.
you should use washing detergent. and the detergent shouldn't be such a strong smell anyhow. ';absorb your feminine odor';?!... ew
haha, yeah i get what you're saying.. but i would definitely still use detergent b/c you still sweat.
you still get dirt on your clothes from the air and from whatever they touch and from your sweat, i still use detergent on my clothes even though they do smell good from my perfume and shampoo and stuff... i like clean clothes.

It depends. U can try, but be careful. Try 2 stick tape dat's easy 2 peel off on top of buttons or other spots where water could soak into. Then try. It's a crazy idea, but worth it, as long as actin' ghetto is cool 2 u (it's a compliment. relax.)
No it is not safe to use water on your iPhone. If any water gets into the internal circuitry it could short circuit your iPhone and you would have to get a new one since this is not covered by your warranty.
just breathe on your screen then wipe it with the cloth it came with or your shirt. Dont wanna risk the water thing since its a touchscreen

Why when I wash clothes, the water smells like sewer?
It only happens on the very first load that I wash in the day. After that it's normal. Why when I wash clothes, the water smells like sewer?
it could be the water from the pipes. Let the water run a few minutes before using it. That way, water that was stagnant overnight would be flushed out.Why when I wash clothes, the water smells like sewer?
if you use well water for that , that could be the problem.
do you take your clothes out as soon as the cycle is done? If so then you should go to your town and ask them to take a water sample you could have some type of contamination in your water. I know this from experience and nothing was done about it till I asked them to take a sample.
If you have well water then it is a natural smell. It is the oder from the rocks and dirt in the ground, but do not worry it is a filtering system so it's not contaminated. On the other hand if you do have city water it could actually be your washing machine has some mildew build up. Run a cycle with just bleach or CLR and that should take care of the problem. You should probably do it once a mouth anyways just to be safe. It also could be that your sewer is backing up but you would be able to tell because your toilets would not be flushing properly. Hope that this helps ;)
Sometimes the washer effluent gets mixed up with the drain and it draws the smelly water up, I am not sure how, but it used to happen to my washing. Get a plunger down your sink and clean out that plughole.
Obviously you've been wallowing in the sewers.
sounds like the water is getting stagnant in the pipe. Let the washer start filling, them turn the knob so it will drain and spin, then start over. Doesn't sound like you use the washer daily, because it shouldn't get foul over night. If you have a utility tub in the laundry room, run the sink first to flush out the pipe.
If that doesn't fix it you may have a vent issue. Good luck
Cuz u need to shower more! lolcamera

Why is it that when i wash clothes the water backs up into my bath tub?
when the washer is draining, water and sometimes ';gunk'; comes up in the bath tub. this has only been happening for a few months and i have lived here for 2 years. i have tried draino in the tub and all sinks. we have town water and not a well if that matters. Why is it that when i wash clothes the water backs up into my bath tub?
There is a stoppage somewhere between the house main line and the street. Water draining from the washer is coming back into the house; the tub line may hook up with the washer drain line at some point, and the stoppage is after that point. You need to have a plumber snake the line to clear out the stoppage. Why is it that when i wash clothes the water backs up into my bath tub?
your main sewer line is clogged you could have a possible root problem . yuor bathtub is the lowest part in waste line that has a p-trap (unless you have a shower) so that make it the best place for gray-water to back up.
We had this problem for a long time. if I remember right (I was a little kid then) it was a venting problem. A plumber can fix it up for you.
is there a tree on your property ? It may be time to call Roto Router some times roots grow out into your drainage lines and cause back ups. This happened to me in my first place a rental. i totaly freaked it was also comming up into my sinks
Maybe your septic system needs to be emptied (pumped) out. They eventually get filled with toilet paper and everything else. Rid-X is supposed to be a good product to eat the waste so it doesn't build up but, I think you will have to get it pumped out first. Call Rotor Rooter or the honey wagon guy.
I had a similar problem a few months ago. Like you I was hoping it would unblock with draino type unblockers and I finally had to call a Mr. Rooter and The problem was no more! bettyk
U have a restricted drain someplace. Better to get a plummer now before it stops draining all together.
You could try a stronger drain product. Acid can be got at hardware to kill roots.
Could be tree roots in the underground pipes. If you lease call the owner-if you own the property use a snake-it's a tool to run far into the pipes and will chop up the tree roots which will allow them to flow through the septic pipes and carried away.

Would it be bad to use pool water to wash my car?
I need to wash my car put don't have a hose. Can I use pool water instead? Is that going to be bad for my paint job?Would it be bad to use pool water to wash my car?
Only if the pool water does not have chlorine or any other chemicals in it. Otherwise it's a bad idea.Would it be bad to use pool water to wash my car?
i wouldnt use that water, it would probably have stuff in it that would mess up the paint. just get a bucket and fill it up with good clean tap water and use a car soap, wash it down and the get a clean bucket of water and rinse in off, take a chamois cloth and dry it.
it's the same that you bath and drink so why would it...Yes it contains more chlorine but it's be fine, just make sure you dry it afterward to avoid the spotting that chlorine causes...

Would using cold water to wash a car windshield on a hot day, cause it to crack?
I noticed a very fine line in the windshied while washing it. Never noticed it before.Would using cold water to wash a car windshield on a hot day, cause it to crack?
Not too likely, although in theory, it may be possible. Since you're probably not using ice water, I don't think there's that much difference in the temperature of the glass and the water.
Besides, what do you think would happen when you're driving in sleet or snow and you've got your defroster and/or defogger going at full blast.
No, I don't think the difference in temperatures caused the crack; it may have been a stress crack, or a rock, or just about anything else, but I doubt the water did it! Good luck!Would using cold water to wash a car windshield on a hot day, cause it to crack?
Yes it can that is if the windows have been closed all day and in the sun. best advise is crack open you windows befor you wash or due it in the evening.
I say yes and why would you chance it?
It shouldn't. Do windshields crack if it rains on a summer day?
I really have my doubts on that one. Actually, I don't think it's possible.
No it will not. But pouring hot coffee on a frosted over windsheild will cause it to crack all over... trust me on that one
Depends on how hot the windshield was and how cold the water. It presumably could.
yes it is common....

Why would my washing machine fill up after i have done a full wash and the water has drained out of the system
the water going into the washing machine is stagnant water. renovation has taken place in my building with two flat conversions. there have been recent plumbing problems with water leaking into the flat below me. i cant understand why water would get into my machine if the wash has drained out.it seems to happen over a period and i would notice it the next day.Why would my washing machine fill up after i have done a full wash and the water has drained out of the system
Is possible you have a back flow, or vacuum problem with the drain system. Contact building maintenance and have your problem investigated. Why would my washing machine fill up after i have done a full wash and the water has drained out of the system
It can be a plumbing problem or it can be the timing chain on your washer needs to be repaired.

Can you use water to wash off oil paints?
i have heard you have to use mineral but can you use water? Can you use water to wash off oil paints?
mineral spirits (ms) for most purposes.
For skin ms works but baby oil is kinder to your skin...you may have to rub a bit.
ms for brushes and follow up with dove dish soap and water then a conditioner (like you would use on your hair) before you store them. Can you use water to wash off oil paints?
well, if you are trying to remove dried oils from brushes then you'll need to soak them in turpentine or mineral spirits maybe for several days. if you wish to remove dried paint from a surface you can use turpentine or mineral spirits on a rag or q-tip for finer work.
if they are wet you can use dish detergent like dawn and warm water though you'll need to treat the brushes with baby oil or linseed oil to keep them in good condition after cleaning. you can remove wet oil paint with baby oil or linseed oil but it takes alot of oil.
water, on its own will not clean wet or dry oil paint from any surface. it simply isn't caustic enough.
good luck with your project...
No, water won't remove oil paint. If you don't want to use mineral spirits, try ';The Masters'; Hand Soap- it works better than anything I've ever tried before. Most artist's supply stores have it, it comes in an old-fashioned looking wrapper.
Water will only make it messier since water isn't a solvent for oil. Use mineral spirits, turpentine or paint thinner instead. In a pinch gasoline will work but may damage the finish, the skin or whatever you use it on.
Hi,
Supposing that your oil paints are not waterbased :
Clean them with turps ( a cheaper one) and then after well cleaned, namely the ferrule (I guess that's the name in english), wash them with soap and water.
There are conditioning soaps for brushes that you may use once in a while.
Sometimes, after cleaning with turps and then soap, I pass them through hair conditioner. But that's one in a while.
Kind regards,
Jos茅

Can i wash a white shirt with my dark load if it says wash in cold water?
I wasn't sure because I wash my white load in hot water. Can i wash a white shirt with my dark load if it says wash in cold water?
Only if the dark colors that you have in there don't bleed or have already been washed several times. Don't wash the shirt with anything red though. Wash that shirt with light colors like yellow, tan and gray. I usually do a load with light pastel colors and a few cold water whites. Can i wash a white shirt with my dark load if it says wash in cold water?
No. Wash it separately in cold water.
Your white shirt will look dingey after the wash --even if you use cold water.
Rule of thumb is anything washed in cold water won't bleed. I wash my white shirts with all my other clothes to save money. The shirt will after a few washs start to look not so white lol. This does not bother me though. It doesnt take on the other colors unless there is something pink in there, but it does make it look older than it is. Just being real, hope this helps
No- wash it separately by hand or toss it in with a white load. I would never, under any circumstances, wash the light load with the dark. Colour can still run even in cold water.
You can still wash all your whites in cold water.Make sure you use a detergent that works well in cold water. And never, ever use a harsh bleach. Fund something that is fabric- and environmentally-friendly.
yea

Why do we use warm water to wash our hands and face?
When water from the hot tap is warm enough to make bacteria multiply and not hot enough to kill it?Why do we use warm water to wash our hands and face?
personally, i've heard warm water gets away bacteria and stuff but i like to wash my face and hands. in cold water because cold water closes your poors to make them look smaller. i've also heard cold water is better than warm cause it rinses better. Why do we use warm water to wash our hands and face?
You don't have to use warm water to wash hands and face, cold water is just uncomfortable. You can make an argument saying that heat causes an easier disbursement between soap and water to produce a better lather but that is improbable at warm.
it's the most comfortable temperature, im pretty sure you don't like being splashed with hot or cold water...

How do you determine what clothes to wash in cold water?
What clothes to wash in warm water?
How do you determine what to wash together and what not to?How do you determine what clothes to wash in cold water?
Usually the washing machine will have a guide to tell you the correct temperature. The laundry detergent will have one also.
The unofficial old-fashioned rule of thumbs is White hot, Light/Mixed warm, Dark cold. By mixed, meaning clothing that has both light and dark colors on them or if you're washing light colors with white colors to save time and energy.
Dark colors are usually the standard black, navy blue, dark green, dark brown. If you throw them all in a pile and can't really distinguish any of them as being light or white, then they're dark. The same holds true for light colors, and white colors.
To preserve your colors (and conserve energy), stick to warm and cold water washing only. Warm for items more slightly soiled. Or buy a cold water detergent and only use cold water. Hope this helps! How do you determine what clothes to wash in cold water?
I read the tags for the water temp and how to dry them. I separate my clothes out by color when I wash them. I wash everything in Dreft-I started using it just for my babies, but it's awesome and it takes any stain off any kind of clothes. I wash my whites and mostly-whites (may have print or something on them) together, my darks (blacks and blues) together, my pastels together and I have a separate group that is colors that bleed easily and I wash those separate (includes new clothes, deep pinks and reds). I wash mostly everything in cold so that it doesn't shrink. I wash my kids' clothes on warm, our towels on warm, and sheets on hot. My husband and I just use cold-it's safer that way.
wash anything you deem as bright colors in cold water. the warmer/hotter the water, the more likely the colors will leak...so if you put a bright red shirt in with white socks on hot, it will result in a bright red shirt and probably pink socks. only wash whites in hot, and subtle colors in warm. you can be safe and wash everything in cold, that isnt a problem and some detergents are made for cold water specifically.
The darker the colour, the more likely it is that the dye will run - so keep black, navy, dark brown, red etc. together and don't wash them in very hot water - 40 to 50 degrees max. Always wash whites with whites, never mix with other colours. Bed linen and cotton tee shirts can take 60 to 70 degrees especially if they are white. Pastel shades eg pink, light green, grey, light blue can be washed together at 40-50 degrees. Delicate items like lingerie or knitwear need a cool short wash. I would only wash dark colours in cold water; lighter colours will still look dirty.
Here's my formulas for what gets washed in what temps. If I have linen or rayon fabrics, NO HOT or WARM water, only cold. I read the care instructions on all my clothes, so I know which ones need ';special'; care, and which ones can be lumped in with general care. General care is as follows: Dark colors, cold water. Light colors, if extra cleaning or filthy, warm water wash, warm water rinse. Cottons, towels, bed sheets, HOT WATER. Comforters, unless filthy, WARM WASH WARM RINSE, unless otherwise noted. I NEVER wash whites with ANYTHING other than OTHER WHITES. This keeps them BRIGHT and keeps them from turning DINGY. I never mix anything red with light colors or whites, EVER! I might throw in something blue with the whites, but NEVER reds of any kind, they ALWAYS go in with the darks! When in doubt, read the care label, if that isn't good enough, wash in cold water, cold rinse. Can rarely go wrong with that. Pretreating stains is essential, and the sooner the better. I can pretreat and throw it in the laundry cart to be washed, unless it needs soaking. I use bleach occasionally, Oxy Clean when needed and borax and baking soda are my friend in the laundry room. Everyone I know brings me their stains they can't get out and call me the Stain Queen, not sure if thats praise or insult! LOL! Hope this helps you!
I have very few whites and I wash those together. I use cold water on all of my clothes. The only time I use the dryer is when I dry my clothes a short time for the day I am going to wear them to get the wrinkles out.
I'm lazier than my husband...he does his own laundry and splits up his whites, his towels, his pastels, and his darks. I usually only break it up between pastels/whites (warm water) and colors/darks (cold water) unless I'm bleaching my whites.
Wash all dark colors in cold water....anything that is 100% cotton in cold water......medium colors in warm........I never wash any clothing items in HOT water.....Most clothing has a label how to wash
i wash everything except whites in cold water. i use tide cold water detergent also.
Read the tags. I wash everything in cold it helps with the gas bill. If it is new jeans or something I will use warm to set them.

i wash everything except whites in cold water. i use tide cold water detergent also.
Read the tags. I wash everything in cold it helps with the gas bill. If it is new jeans or something I will use warm to set them.
How should I wash my creek water dirty white shirt?
I went canoing at Black Creek today while wearing a white shirt. When I was done my shirt wasn't white anymore, it's more of a strange rusty beige color now. It's from all of the clay and sand in the water, and I'm not sure of the best way to clean it out. I rinsed the shirt with clean water right away, but it didn't really do anything. I'm not sure if I should bleach the shirt or just wash it as normal now. I really hope I can get it back to it's proper color. How should I wash my creek water dirty white shirt?
Identify the stains on your shirt and determine if they are permanent or washable. Using Chlorox or any bleaching agent may damage the fibres in the shirt. The clay and sand are more easily washable under a strong rinse and good washing liquid or powder. Where do you stay. If the shirt is expensive or sentimental value, it is worth treating it and retaining its original condition, else, throw it away and buy a new one......
The rusty beige color ir due due to clay particles, small as they may be, in the fibres of the fabric, and any washing liquid will remove it, any chemical reaction will damage the fibres, light, warm water, even lemon juice ( its acidic properties ) will dissolve the contaminants, that is if, the stains are purely clay and sand only. Impurities are of two form, physical, like sand, clay, calcium or carbonate, and the other of course are more stubborn, the microbiological stains, moss, or even growth.
Of course the coloration, yellowish, fabric dyes are purely esthetical, but beware......How should I wash my creek water dirty white shirt?
You should always wash your darks and colored clothes separate in cold water and use a color safe bleach to keep them bright and also hang what ever you are worried about shrinking because it will in the dryer. Regular and perm press and fluff,%26lt; reg is hot on the dryer and you should use it for towel, sheets, and fluff is only air drying and ther is no heat.

What am I supposed to wash in hot water?
Generally speaking, what do you wash in hot water and what do you wash in cold water? I'm not going through and reading all the labels on all my clothes. What about wash rags and towels? What about business casual work clothes (slacks and button up shirt)? I just wash everything in cold water b/c I don't know what the hell I'm doing. I do try to separate heavy things like towels and jeans from lighter stuff like shirts and what not simply because they take forever to dry. What am I supposed to wash in hot water?
I wash most whites in hot water with bleach, except delicate sweaters and silks. Those go in a separate small load in cold and delicate cycle. You do need to check your labels.
Jeans go in a load by themselves, or with blacks as the dyes in them can sometimes run, in cold water.
All other laundry goes in cold water, to preserve the colors, with no bleach at all, but stains pretreated with Shout or something like it.
I wash reds separately because sometimes red dyes can run also, even in things that have been washed several times. What am I supposed to wash in hot water?
It's generally safe to wash whites in hot water, and colors or delicate fabrics in cold water. If there is no danger of shrinkage or fading, you can wash colors in warm water in the permanent press cycle. Wash cloths and towels can be washed in warm water. Generally, most fabrics can be washed in either warm or cold. The secret is in the sorting, as you should wash all like things together, such as all whites, all light colors, all dark colors, etc., to eliminate the possibility of fading or colors bleeding on to whites or lights. Generally, the manufacturer of washing machines have a manual to advise the proper care of clothing, included with their product.
I wash all underwear, linens (including sheets), in hot water. I separate our clothes into jeans, sweats, jackets, work shirts, and finer clothing in separate piles, and wash them in cold and the appropriate setting according to the dirt level.
You should always wash under clothes, at least the cotton/cotton blends, and towels in hot water. The rest depends upon the label on the item you want to wash. With so many different fabrics and blends, its best to go by the label. You also need to separate colors. Try to keep the work clothes separate from everything else to avoid ';accidents';. Nothing like a white shirt that has mysteriously become some off pink or gray. Good Luck.
I like to wash whites in hot water..Others like jeans, etc cold seems to do just as well. If I have greasy coveralls or jeans..I use Hot %26amp; a longer cycle..For soap..I like Arm %26amp; Hammer with the blue top..cheap %26amp; washes well.
I would wash whites, towels and sheets in hot water. shirts, jeans and sweats in cold water. generally if i don't want something to shrink i wash it in cold water and hang it to dry.You are right you should dry heavy things and light things separately.
whites are supposed to be washed in hot water and dark clothes are supposed to be washed in cold thats all you need to know the basics.
Hot water - whites with bleach added while filling with water, along with the detergent; add clothes after tub has filled
warm water - your casual work clothes on permanent press setting, no chlorine bleach but color safe bleach okay
cold water - good for fabrics that bleed
sort your clothes by color; wash towels %26amp; jeans like your doing.

How often should I wash my water purifier pitcher?
I actually used to do demonstrations and sell these at a local Costco years ago. I would recommend that you wash it out AT LEAST once a week. This is if you are using it daily. If you do not use it often, then I would say every 2 weeks. Also, make sure that you buy new filters for it every 5-6 weeks. The manufacturers say that for the pitcher and faucet mounts you can go 2 months or more, but I wouldn't recommend that. Hope this helped! How often should I wash my water purifier pitcher?
In extremely hot water %26amp; dishsoap or in a dishwasher where the water temp is much hotter than tap water. How often should I wash my water purifier pitcher?
Before mold begins to grow...and that depends on if you keep it in the fridge or not
make it a weekly routine- Say on friday nights you wash it. I know when my family is home on the weekends we use it more often than we do during the week.
Every month I soap and rinse out my purifier pitcher..

What happens if I machine wash something in Hot water that was meant to be washed in warm water?
The tag says wash in warm water, no bleach, but this jacket is really greasy dirty and I think it needs hot water to get it really clean. Will it shrink if I wash it in hot? What happens if I machine wash something in Hot water that was meant to be washed in warm water?
I would soak it over night...DON'T WASH IN HOT! The jacket says warm for a reason, plus hot is what makes a stain set. Drying it or washing it in hot will make the stain stick! Make some paste with your detergent, rub it on there. If you have some spray and wash, us that on there over night. Just spray it a few times. Wash it. Hang dry it. If it didn't come out, try something else. Don't dry it or wash in hot! What happens if I machine wash something in Hot water that was meant to be washed in warm water?
No, hot water will not be good. I did that once and it stained. You can use bleach that is for colored clothes...not regular bleach! And stain remover. Sometimes borax is helpful too!...Good Luck!
More than likely it is because hot water can fade colors faster than warm or cold. It should be fine.
There is a good chance it will shrink, especially if it is wool. Also, you need to watch for colorfastness, hot water may fade the color.
Well I think if it麓s really as dirty as you say the best thing would be to soak it over night , either in your normal washing powder or Bio-Tex, or any other pre-wash powder, Rinse well then put it in your machine at 40c .See if most of the dirt comes out . if not wash on a slightly higher machine wash
No. It's ok to wash it in hot water, so long as it's not an ultra-sensitive fabric (you know those kind that should be dry-cleaned). The problem comes in when you wash in hot water and then throw it in the dryer. As long as you hang dry, the jacket should be fine.
An extra tip: This won't ruin the fabric as it's not enough to do damage, but put a little bit of rubbing alcohol in the cycle if the clothes are really soiled. They come out so much cleaner and fresher smelling.

Why do my washing machine keep filling up with water, but it wont wash, and the water just goes out?
I have a washing machine. When i left for work today, i put in a load of clothes to wash. When i came home the washer was still running water into it as if it was getting ready to wash a load of clothes. the water just drains back out of it, instead of cutting off and start washing my clothes, they just sit there, unwashed. Why do my washing machine keep filling up with water, but it wont wash, and the water just goes out?
There could be a number of factors, first check if your drain hose is in its position? If it is, your level sensor or your water solenoid valve could be out. If you have the multimeter, you can check the continuity of each or get some electrician to check and replace for you.Why do my washing machine keep filling up with water, but it wont wash, and the water just goes out?
in one of the tub corners is a plastic grating that houses a waterlevel sensor which may be stuck due to dirt or grime, pour hot water to loosen the grime and see if it moves freely, then bang back the grating. fill the tub and see if the wash cycle goes on
Your out let hose is too low, check the height of it, it should be at least two thirds the height of you washing machine. Lets hope your not on a water meter as your bill will be going up, and one more word of advise Never go out and leave an appliance on, or you could come home to either a bad flood or worse still a burnt down house.
Nancy R is a spoiled kid. I'm sorry you had to see that. I think your transmission is out. Try changing the settings and if she still doesn't work, you may be better off buying another one because the repair can be expensive. All washing machines can clean clothes well so don't worry about getting a really expensive one. Even a good used one is worth it. Good luck and have a great year.
Your clothes may have caused it to be uneven and this would cause for your washer to continue on all day..Orr someone else in the apartment you live in is using your machine and placed your clothes back in the machine hoping that you didn't notice anything different.
Mine did that when the drain hose fell down and wasn't on the right angle....make sure it is where it normally is
the timing unit is shot. you need to call a repairman or go to a laundramatt and do it.
Honey, it's broke
A long tome ago, I had that problem. Solved it by connecting a piece of PVC to the drain pipe to raise the machines drain hose up even with the height of the machine. It worked. Hope this helps.

What is the minimum temperature for hot water to wash dishes in safely?
Any temperature is fine...just make sure you use soap. Water temp has nothing to do with getting dishes cleaner. It may help to loosen dirt and grim, but the dish will be no less clean if you use cold water and dish soap. What is the minimum temperature for hot water to wash dishes in safely?
Soap is just a release agent. To sterilize one has to heat or cool to a certain point and then reverse the process rapidly to kill organisms. Report Abuse
What is the minimum temperature for hot water to wash dishes in safely?
(Note: Warm water doesn't kill germs. Boiling water kills germs. However, warm water does make grease removal from the dishes much easier. Or you could use enamel coated camping dishes which clean up nicely even in cold water. However, long-term exposure to citric acid will stain the enamel coating on enamel dishes.)

Acording to this site the water needs to be about 120 degrees fahrenheit, or you may have trouble having clean dishes.Usually on the dishwasher its self should have a temperature adjuster, if having trouble adjust the temperature on your hot water tank.
Minimum temp? Cold of course. Don't know what you mean by safely..
You are not sterilizing if washing by hand so there is actually no minimum.
You would need to reach 165 degrees to kill most bacteria that would be in excess of what you would be able to handle on you skin.
If using a machine to was the dishes 165 degrees up to steam is desirable
hot enough so you do not burn your hands that what i do make it hot as not to burn my hands.

Why is it that cold water can wash off blood better than warm water?
I have a part time job cleaning dentist tools and have wondered why the people there have told me to just use cold water when washing blood off surgical equipment. Why is it that cold water can wash off blood better than warm water?
I wouldn't think there is a difference while cleaning tools that are probably stainless steel. Clothes is another subject. Hot water dries it and makes it hard, like a paint. Cold water seems to keep stains more moist and easier to remove, especially from clothes. Maybe they tell you that at work, because of germs and diseases which spread more rapidly with hot water. Never put heat on say your throat or ears if they are infected. Hope you find a more substantial answer young lady, good luck. Make sure you wear gloves when cleaning those instruments and even was your hands with an anti-bacterial solution, either ointment or soap. Why is it that cold water can wash off blood better than warm water?
The protein in blood 'cooks' in hot or warm water. that is why cold
water is better to used for washing off the blood before sterilizing it.
warm water makes it must harder to take off the blood. the same holds true of anything that is protein based like egg etc.

Why do soap instructions ask you to use hot water to wash your hands?
I've read that modern soap is just a form of detergent, and detergent works best in cold water, right? Why do soap instructions ask you to use hot water to wash your hands?
Heat will also help break up oil. Look at a grease-ridden frying pan after washing it with cold water and soap. Then look at it after you have to wash it again in hot water. Why do soap instructions ask you to use hot water to wash your hands?
i don't think temperature matters
but by saying 'hot' they have an out if you sue
they just say your hot was not 'hot' enough
Soap works by mechanically removing bacteria and other particulate matter from you hands. The hot water helps the soap suds up as well as kill bacteria on your hands.
You are supposed to use the hottest water that you can handle... this will clean and sanitize your hands much better than cold water.

Does the temperature of the water you wash your face with affect acne?
I've been doing it with cold water because that gives me a sensation that feels like the acne is getting smaller, but that's probably just me being weird, I read someone saying that room temperature water is the best, is there any accepted temperature for washing your face?Does the temperature of the water you wash your face with affect acne?
Since i switched from taking hot showers to room temperature water showers my acne quickly disappeared. You should try this for a week and you will see the results trust me.Does the temperature of the water you wash your face with affect acne?
I know that warm water kills more germs

Why cant I run bath water and wash dishes at the same time?
My hot water tank is leaking and needs to be replaced. I use a well. Any help would be greatful.Thanks.Why cant I run bath water and wash dishes at the same time?
Probably because you don't have enough water pressure to perform both tasks. The leak is probably whats causing it, when you get it fixed I would ask him to check the water pressure while hes at it couldn't hurt! Why cant I run bath water and wash dishes at the same time?
you have not really asked a question that makes sense. if you are referring to the fact that you get cold water in your bath when someone turns on got water to wash dishes that would mean you need a new updated faucet in your bath tub. it will have an anti scalding mech, in it that will prevent that from happening. replacing your hot water heater will not fix this problem. remember a leaking heater is costing you a ton of money just to heat the water that is wasted and then there is the water that is being wasted and the damage that is being done from the water and if you have a leak be prepared to have a flash flood when it does break. because not only will you have the water that is in the tank but also the water that will keep running.

Does water actually wash the fat and calories out of your body?
Pardon me for asking such a silly question but I really don't know.Does water actually wash the fat and calories out of your body?
a high water intake does not flush fat or calories from the body. when the body is dehydrated metabolic function is decreased and fatty acids can not be metabolized by skeletal muscle efficiently. by keeping the body well hydrated muscle cells operate more efficiently. when the body is at rest free fatty acids are the primary energy source used by the muscles. this is how the water intake effects fat lossDoes water actually wash the fat and calories out of your body?
Yes water will flush fat and other impurities from the body. I am not sure if it flushes calories but I do know the if you drink water 15 minutes before eating it will reduce the amount of food you eat. This website will help you understand all about water.
http://www.jeffreywarber.com/hc%20pages/鈥?/a>
The kidneys need sufficient water to function properly, and when they are water deprived, the liver is overworked. One of the functions of the liver is to metabolize stored fat into energy, and cannot perform efficiently when compensating for the kidneys. The liver then metabolizes less fat which remains stored in the body. Studies have shown that a decrease in water intake will cause fat deposits to increase, while an increase in water intake can actually reduce fat deposits.
Filling your body with water flushes out other things you've eaten... as do most fluids... that's why the doctors say to drink lots of fluids if you accidentally overdose, or drink/eat something poisonous.
By drinking water, you gain water weight, so no you won't wash fat %26amp; calories out of your body.
People say drinking water helps you lose weight because if you drink water you feel fuller, and eat less. So drink water before every meal :]
Also, nothing can safely wash fat away. Medicines do it, for weight lose, and they're only save for obese people who need to take it to reduce risks of diabetes, heart failure, etc.
PS - Water weight will stay longer if you have more sodium. It soaks up the water.camera

Can you water wash waste vegetable oil?
Is it worth my while to wash my fuel or is filtering it to 2 microns enough. I plan to mix it with my diesel 50/50 during the summerCan you water wash waste vegetable oil?
NOOOO water near your fuel. Also, you can't just filter it and use it. It doesn't work that way. There is a whole process to check the PH and other factors, along with mixing it with some other items. Search google on vegetable oil for diesel engines. Can you water wash waste vegetable oil?
1.Don't mix DF 2 and WVO....you'll end up with a mess.
2. Water washing is a method of removing soap and some contaminantes fro processed Bio-Diesel. It is not suitable for WVO however.
what the hell are you talking about

it sounds like your timer is shot. if everything else works on it the timer is sticking before it gets to the wash water draining and that's why it wont drain. I have a whirlpool washer model LSQ7533JQ0 an when wash cycle ends does not drain wash water?

It's not the pump or it wouldn't drain in the rinse cycle either. It's not a plugged drain either for the same reason. The only thing left that it could be is the timer module. If you're mechanically inclined replace the timer module. If not, call a service center to do it for you or replace the washer.
either the timer has gone bad or the pump is bad...or a lead to the pump has come off..check the leads...if hooked up fine, then .... call a Whirlpool tech...it will be cheaper than playing with the unit...and if the washer is older than 5 years, it will be better just to purchase a new one...we live in the age of disposables...and washers are included in this mix.
Dude it has to be the timer it would cost more to fix it yourself either chuck it and get a new one or hire someone to fix it for you.
your timer is going bad...i know it might not sound like it because some parts of the wash cycle on your timer is working...but believe me that is what is happening...it wont last much longer..im sorry
Could be a sock (childs or toy) stuck in the drain intake. Peace.

Veggies, do you waste a lot of water to wash your greens before consuming them?
Because of all the fertilizers on them. Or do you consume those cultivated by using organic manure?Veggies, do you waste a lot of water to wash your greens before consuming them?
LoL....
this question is mean
=)Veggies, do you waste a lot of water to wash your greens before consuming them?
I used to not bother with that, untill I went to Culinary arts school.
The professor had a big plastic tub filled with water, and he put the leafy greens in there, and after five minutes a thick layer of dirt had settled at the bottom.
I prefer my vegetables to be organic, but I NEVER trust any label. Organic is best, but the word can be misleading. So it's important to wash even organic vegetables.
I grow a lot of my own vegetables now, but I still wash them, because there is always bacteria in the dirt, like E.coli or anthrax (no lie, farm dirt often has anthrax, or other scary bacteria), so it's best to wash the stuff to avoid that.
I try to eat as much organic as possible, however all vegetables and fruits are washed here.
I eat regular veges and I don't eat organic no thanks :)
First tell me do you waste lots of water in cleaning your chickens @ss before cooking it.......
I rarely eat veggies, I prefer a steady diet of roast infant with cranberry stuffing.
I don't consider it a waste of water to get all the soil off.
wash them at least 8* to get the fertillizer off of them.

Would using a bar of soap and water to wash my face work better against acne than just using water?
I wash my face with water twice a day to try and fight my acne and I was wondering if a bar of soap will help?
Thanks.Would using a bar of soap and water to wash my face work better against acne than just using water?
You need warm soapy water to loosen the grime embedded in the pore of the oil glands and the sweat glands. Washing with or rinsing in plain water won't do it. Wash gently, massaging the soap with a soft wash rag and than rinse good with water.Would using a bar of soap and water to wash my face work better against acne than just using water?
I would suggest buying a mild face wash that gently exfoliates your skin. This way all the little bits of dirt thats clogged up will slowly be removed. If you don't want an exfoliating face wash, then theres plenty of other mild ones that are like soaps but not as perfume/fragrance based. If you live in the UK, the i'd recommend face washes such as St Ives (exfoliating) or Simple (mild and fragrance free).
Oh, and avoid using soap bars that are used on the body for your face!
Hi there,
Using soap is the last thing you should wash your face with if you suffer from acne, like I did, it will only make it worse. If you are looking for a cost effective acne treatment which will also deep cleanse your skin, then try this. It is totally natural and works like nothing else out there. Good luck :-)

Cold or warm water to wash a fresh blood stain out of a pair of khaki pants?
I Googled it, but I'm getting conflicting answers. Thanks!Cold or warm water to wash a fresh blood stain out of a pair of khaki pants?
cold water! also maybe a little shout or stain remover. Good luck... just DON'T dry until the stain is all the way out.Cold or warm water to wash a fresh blood stain out of a pair of khaki pants?
COLD COLD COLD!!!! And as SOON as possible after the blood has got on your khaki pants. If it does not come out completely after trying the water try a bit of Hydrogen Peroxide and rinse thoroughly after with COLD water again. It has always worked for me...even after a few hours or days-- just soak longer. Good luck. Wish someone had an answer for my poor washing machine. D.
Cold as hot and warm will set the stain guaranteed. Using cold will give you another chance to retreat the stain. I gently rub a bit of my liquid detergent into both sides of the affected area and allow to sit about 30 minutes before washing.
Use hydrogen peroxide first to lyse the red blood cells.
Then treat with an oxygen-based stain remover (like oxyclean), and follow the instructions on the container about how hot the water should be.
Good luck!
Murderer!!! Scrub with baking soda, then soak them in cold water overnight and scrub again in the morning and rinse with cold water again. You can also try lighter fluid that works great.
If the stain isn't too large, you could try rubbing spit (saliva) into it. It works really well to break up the blood. Then wash in cold water.
Put hydrogen peroxide on it - let it fizz up and then rinse it with COLD water (hot water will make it set in). If it doesn't all come out just repeat!
Good luck!
Rinse it under ice cold water before it sets! Then wash in cold water. Oxyclean also seems to help a lot.
always use cold water on blood stains. or on any stain .
warm i assume. also, those tide to go pens are amazing!

When colors run i put it in cold water wash right away is that right?
The brighter the color, the more ';runable'; it is. One thing you can do is add a cup or so of white vinegar to the wash water the first few times you wash bright things. It will help set the color in. Also, wash them separately from other colors.
What is the ideal temperature of water to wash your face with?
So what temperature should you wash your face with (not exactly the temp I mean like hot, cord, lukewarm, what??)
Why?What is the ideal temperature of water to wash your face with?
Lukewarm to cool is best - some other respondents already answered. If you're interested in my personal cleansing regime, check out my blog post below. What is the ideal temperature of water to wash your face with?
lukewarm water open facial pores, cold water shrink it. Using both could get your facial skin remain elastic over time. Many use warm water, after long period of times you'll see a significant coarse skin, particular the nose area, visible opened pores. Report Abuse
Pores do not open and close. Report Abuse
You should always wash your face with warm water (never hot!) to open up your pores and always rinse with cool water to close them :)
Warm water. If you use hot water you would burn yourself. And if you use cold water you wouldn't get your face clean as well.
First rinse with hot water to open you poors. then cleanse it with your face wash or something. then rinse with really cold water to close your poors. since your poors were open when you used face wash they are not clean and ready to be closed. this reduced my blackheads slighty. nothing dramatic but it keeps you rpoors nicer.
hot water opens your pours, cold water closes them. hot to wash cold to rinse.
first rinse your face with warm water to open up your pores. then use your facial cleanser and then rinse that off with cold water to close your pores.
lukewarm water. It is refreshing and the temperature is just right.
Luke warm water is what i would recommend. It gets rid of all the dirt particles that will be on your face and cleans the pores at the same time.

I have several jeans pants. But if I wash it it loses its color and looks old. What should I add to water to prevent this. I am using detergent to wash it.
Dry wash is not preferred. It is expensive. What should I add to ordinary water to wash my jeans without losing its color?
You can find some helpful information on preserving the color of your jeans here: http://www.jeanshub.com/JeansCare-preser鈥?/a>What should I add to ordinary water to wash my jeans without losing its color?
Turn them inside-out, wash them with a Dark fabric laundry soap (sold with the other laundry products). Short time in the dryer to get out the wrinkles then hang to finish drying. I bought a second shower curtain rod and placed it higher than the shower head but parallel to the bathtub enclosure. There I hang things to finish drying. Things that I try to keep from fading or shrinking or things that need a little extra care during the laundry process. Yeah, it's a little more work than tossing them into the washer and then into the dryer, but it keeps our clothes looking new for a long time.
Personally I love when my jeans get a faded worn out look, but if you like them looking crisp wash them in cold water only and use a mild detergent like woolite. It helps keep clothes from color fading. Also, use a fabric softener like downy in the rinse cycle to keep them soft which helps the fabric from breaking down. Let them air dry over a clothes rack instead of the dryer.
Pour a good cup or so of white vinegar in the washing machine and fill as usual. Let soak for an hour or so. Then wash. I do this with all my new dark towels and it works well.camera

What is the meaning of 'Back Wash Water' in a water treatment Process Plant ?
Peter N is right. Filter media (Commonly a bed of sand) gets progressively filled with fine particulates, which eventually accumulate enough to plug the filter. Then you have to flow air or water in the other direction (Backwash) to restore flow. This backwash water (Full of fines) has to be disposed of separately, or it'll just clog the filter again. What is the meaning of 'Back Wash Water' in a water treatment Process Plant ?
This is the water that was used to backflush the filter to unplug the filter .

I have pain in my hand when I wash with water that is too cold?
Anyone know what might cause this and how to remedy it?I have pain in my hand when I wash with water that is too cold?
It could be a few things like raynauds disease or arthritis so u need to c a doctor if the symptoms get worse. Meantime just use warm water %26amp; wear health gloves to prevent the pain.I have pain in my hand when I wash with water that is too cold?
An infection is the detrimental colonization of a host organism by a foreign species. In an infection, the infecting organism seeks to utilize the host's resources to multiply (usually at the expense of the host). The infecting organism, or pathogen, interferes with the normal functioning of the host and can lead to chronic wounds, gangrene, loss of an infected limb, and even death. The host's response to infection is inflammation. Colloquially, a pathogen is usually considered a microscopic organism though the definition is broader, including parasites, fungi, viruses, prions, and viroids. A symbiosis between parasite and host, whereby the relationship is beneficial for the former but detrimental to the latter, is characterised as parasitism. The branch of medicine that focuses on infections and pathogens is infectious disease. ';When infection attacks the body, anti-infective drugs can help turn the tide of battle. Four types of anti-infective drugs exist: antibacterial, antiviral, antitubercular, and antifungal.[1] A secondary infection is an infection that occurs during or following treatment of another already existing primary infection.
In the case that may have Arthritis you can relieve the pain by filling a sauce pan with water, put it on the stove and heat it to a boil while your hand are in the water, it won't hurt because your hands are warming up with the water and your skin will adapt to the temperature.
i recommend medical attention because it usually takes a minute for your hand to hurt under cold water if this is instantaneous then you may have messed up pain receptors that may need medicine i hope you find out and resolve the problem
You probably just have sensitive hands to cold...
Mine go like that in hot water.
there really isn't anything you can really do, maybe
turn the water a little warmer?
It's quite simple really. Very cold anything affects the joints in your hand and causes them to develop a kind of cramping pain like it's freezing, but not. Hope this helps.
use warmer water
here's a solution:
don't wash with cold water! im a genius!
sounds like a mild arthritis, or frost bite don't use water that is to cold it can cause minor damage to your bones
Just your veins constricting from the cold..no need to worry. Can be good for the blood flow.

How do I wash the water of my tank?
How many times do I have to wash it? (e.g. once a week, once a month etc...)How do I wash the water of my tank?
Actually, I don't think you can ';wash'; water. What you are actually doing is replacing water. The general rule of thumb is to change 25% once a week. You siphon out old water, vacuuming the bottom of waste and then replace it with clean, dechlorinated water.
As I said, that is the general rule. If you are heavily stocked or under-filtered, you may have to them more often. While cycling with fish in a new tank, you may even have to do them twice a day to keep the ammonia and nitrite levels down. On the other hand, if you are lightly stocked, you may be able to go 2 or 3 weeks between changes.
Just look at the tank and test the parameters. If the water looks good, your ammonia and nitrite readings are at 0 (anything else means that you have problems) and your nitrate reading is less than about 20-40 (nitrate becomes toxic at higher levels), your water is in good shape. After all, the main reason for a water change is to do a gravel vacuum and to lower nitrates. How do I wash the water of my tank?
Change the water of your tank every week-every two weeks at most. Also don't forget to vacuum your gravel. Theres no need to completely wash that as it will damage your beneficial bacteria colonies. Best wishes to you!
Hi
A 1/4 water change 1 a week is best but ever other week is ok
ive asked this question and never had the same answer twice. you'll get so many different answers it'll just confuse you lol im just going to do a 25% water change every couple of weeks! hope this helps
20-25% with a gravel vac. Weekly would be better, but you could go every other week, unless we're talking goldfish, then every week.

I'm working with mild steel how do i stop flash rusting? is there something i can add to wash water?
Aquaklean, a water-based cleaner, made by KBS Coatings is enhanced with an oxygen-block formula that reduces the incidence of flash rust . The metal prep Rustblast is also enhanced with that formula too.I'm working with mild steel how do i stop flash rusting? is there something i can add to wash water?
Mercury. But at great risk to your health.I'm working with mild steel how do i stop flash rusting? is there something i can add to wash water?
paint it or a light coaring of oil
if you are welding the metal, i wouldnt use iol or wd-40.....u might get hydrogen inclusions. use some anti splatter spray
keep the air/water away from the metal...try a coat of oil or rustolium paint...even a clear coat from them will work nice.
WD-40. The object is to keep the iron atoms from reacting with oxygen, creating rust. Any thin oil will prevent this.
i've heard baking soda, .... may be a bunch of hooey!camera

Recycling wash machine water?
Long ago a neighbor would reuse the water from the rinse cycle to wash the next load. Any ideas of how to set this up?Recycling wash machine water?
This used to be quite common. It's called 'suds-saving'. Machines used to come with attachments that would recover the rinse water from the sink where it went after the rinse cycle, back when washers drained into a laundry sink rather than straight into a pipe. I don't know if you can still have a machine do it. Try consulting a washing machine repair place.Recycling wash machine water?
That would involve a holding tank, a septic sump and a lint filter(keeps the works from getting plugged up). A better option (especially if you have a yard/garden) would be a gray water system.
put bucket under hose and use the water in the garden.

My wash water turned red?
I bought sunlight multiaction HE detergent for sensitive skin. It's the small little blue and white bottle. I turned on the washer on the cold setting and poured half a cap. It immediately turned red? What do you think happened? My wash water turned red?
Did you wash anything that was new??
B.c the color could of came of of your new clothing
deff if the water is hott.My wash water turned red?
It's mabye because the liquid was mixed with something else you put in. so that might be the cause or you were doing a white wash with a pink or red item in.
the chemicals in the ingredients to the wash soap had a bad reaction to your cloths call the number on the bottle they will help you
I am going with ';It is a sign from God';. Did you offend the cosmos recently?
But seriously...I assume you ruled out any new red shirt/stage blood capsules/etc in the wash.
did you know that if you take a hot iron and put it on your face you will burn? so don't do it. :D
If you jam pack your cloths in there...then dirt won't be able to drain correctly after you take them out!
Ewwy, dirty water
Maybe it's defective. Return it or buy a new one. Maybe you use it with warm water?
Hope this helps!

The water in my washing machine turned dark out of sympathy.
Spider: Bit of nostalgia for the old folks!
Gilly: I'm advocating dark clothes.
Becky: If I'm not alone . . . How long have I been asleep?
Gilly: As long as I have.
Maxine: Did you ever live in a drum?
Becky: No.
Maxine: Well then you aren't me.
Gilly: I only dreamt I lived in a drum. Ever since it got dark. Dreaming is hard.
Susan Kelly: Yea, but with nothing over your head?
Gilly: No, just light, over my head. And underneath too.
Susan Kelly: I don't think I could take it without anything over my head.
Maxine: Mm-mmh, I couldn't either.
Becky: Well why don't you go out and see what's out there?
Gilly: Well . . . I don't know if that's what's out there.
Maxine: Now that's a thought.
Gilly: Yes . . .
Maxine: If you'd like . . .
Gilly: But still you can say darker and darker. I don't know what the outside of this thing looks like at all.
Guy #1: I do. It's dark and murky.
John Kilgore: How do you get your . . . your water so dark?
Guy #1: 'Cause I'm paranoid. I'm very paranoid. And the water in my washing machine turns dark out of sympathy.

Guy #1: At your local drugstore.
John Kilgore: How much?

How do you wash salt water taffy out of clothing?? is it even possible??
i put a few pieces of salt water taffy in my racing jacket pocket and went for a ride and the hot sun melted it!!!! my jacket is made out of like a thick mesh material and it was quite expensive...any way to get it out?How do you wash salt water taffy out of clothing?? is it even possible??
pour very hot-almost boiling water through the mesh and over the taffy till it all dissolves and rinses away. pour slowly and you may want to rest the jacket on some clean screening for support. be careful of the steam! it can burn you badly! -a spouted teakettle would be easiest to manage.
you could try putting your jacket in a freezer first, so that the majority of the candy would chip off, then do the hot water treatment. alternatively, try a soak in hot water.
best wishes,
cryllieHow do you wash salt water taffy out of clothing?? is it even possible??
Goo-gone will remove it.
well they say to remove gum put the item in the freezer try that it might work leave it in the freezer till its frozen then you should be able to revove it easily good luck
its just sugar. i would imagine just soaking it for awhile in warm water and detergent should dissolve it.
Salt water taffy is just sugar, not like gum. It should just wash or dry clean out, however you clean the jacket.

What is the correct and the best way of giving my car a water wash?
Here's your best practices:
-- Do it in the shade rather than direct sun.
-- DON'T use household detergent (i.e., liquid dish soap). Use a car wash liquid that won't harm the clear coat.
-- Knock as much of the dirt of as possible with your spray down before using a sponge so as to aviod rubbing dirt particles against the finish.
-- Larger pore sponges are better than tiny cheap sponges and wash mitts are the best. You want something that will draw dirt far into it.
-- Wash from the top down and don't allow the soap to dry on the surface.
-- Keep seperate sponges for wheels and paint. The last thing you want is do a wheel and then end up rubbing brake dust particles against your paint job. You can use a cheaper sponge for the wheels.
-- Dry using a chamoise. Never allow to air dry especially if your city has hard water. You'll end up with spotting. What is the correct and the best way of giving my car a water wash?
Hose off all the loose dirt first, have a 5 gallon bucket (rinsed) filled with warm water and car wash soap. Use a terrycloth or other soft rag to scrub the surface. rinse off all the soap and let the water run off for a second to see the spots you might have missed. get the missed spots hose off and dry with a car shami. What is the correct and the best way of giving my car a water wash?
the bottom and rear of the car is always the dirtiest so start at the top and work your way down. Forget about the windows, use glass cleaner on those (inside and out). No car wash is complete without vacuuming the interior.
If your wheels are dirty with brake dust, then use a good wheel cleaner that is safe for all wheels ( clear coat and chrome gets damaged very easy )
After all is said and done a little tire (shine) dressing goes a long way.
And don't forget to drive by shops with large panes of glass so you can look over and see the reflection ofyour car shining in the sunlight.
while washing the body of the car:
-use a good car shampoo.
-don't spray hard on the car's body.
-first, rub the shampoo with a sponge. then wash it with water. dry it off with a dry, soft cloth.
rest of the car:
-spray hard on the under body and inner sides of the car. the dirt would be kept at bay through hard washing.
-take the extra dirt off the tire or body component by using a twig.
*have a happy wash!
take me out to the car wash take me out to the line/buy me some wheel brightner etc
Drive it into the nearest ocean.
Do it your self who else would be more caring and concerned unless you are lazy

-spray hard on the under body and inner sides of the car. the dirt would be kept at bay through hard washing.
-take the extra dirt off the tire or body component by using a twig.
*have a happy wash!
take me out to the car wash take me out to the line/buy me some wheel brightner etc
Drive it into the nearest ocean.
Do it your self who else would be more caring and concerned unless you are lazy
My sink is backed up and when I wash the water comes out in the back yard?
My sink is backed up and when I wash the water comes out in the back yard? Any advise? My sink is backed up and when I wash the water comes out in the back yard?
Sorry to say Nina, most likely you are going to have a trench and new pipe in your yard. $$$$orry for your loss, RegardsMy sink is backed up and when I wash the water comes out in the back yard?
Do you have a septic tank?
Has anyone done any work (digging) in the back yard?
If you are on city sewers:
Sounds like the pipe is busted that goes from your laundry to the sewer. Call the plumber and probably the bank too. Not a cheap fix if the washer is dumping in the yard. Also one you can't put off. If the mess doesn't get you, the city will.
If you are on septic, it is time to clean the septic tank out. Again, call the septic tank company that deals with this, and the bank.
Sounds like you have a broken pipe. Good luck.

Is it ok to steam wash clothes that need cold water wash?
I have an LG steam washer and would like to know if it's safe to wash my clothes with the steam cycle if the label says cold water wash only?Is it ok to steam wash clothes that need cold water wash?
No it's not ok. Steam is NOT cold water. The reason some garments require cold water wash is either because the dye will run using hot water or steam or the garment will shrink. Use cold water for those items labeled ';cold water wash';.camera

Why do you use hydrochloric acid to wash copper? Why is it also important to do a final wash with water?
I recently did a chemistry experiement in which solid copper reacted with copper (II) chloride to form iron (II) chloride and solid copper. We used 0.5 M of hydrochloric acid to wash the copper and then we used distilled water as the final wash.
My question is: why did we use hydrochloric acid to wash the copper, and then use water as the final wash? Also, i need to use a balanced equation to prove my answer. I'd appreciate any help i could get. :)Why do you use hydrochloric acid to wash copper? Why is it also important to do a final wash with water?
With dilute Hydrochloric Acid copper dissolves to form copper chloride. Thus copper looks clean. If it is not washed with water, the copper chloride, with contact of oxygen from air will turn to cupric oxide which again makes copper to look unclean.
If you will use concentrated Hydrochloric acid, the copper will become passive (will not dissolve) and will not look clean.
Your expt seems absurd.to form iron chloride unless there is any impurity of containing iron in one of the components.

Print up a flier, and put a few in people's door jambs, or on their windshields. Say something like ';competitive prices.'; My nephew is doing a similar thing in Florida where there's lots of folks who want ';that nice young (person) to help program their new phone.';How do I let people in my area know that im avaible to wash cars, water plants, and clean thier houses?
you can make up fliers and put them on every door in your neighborhood
listing what you can do, when you can do it and what you are going to charge,
lots of landscapers and other types of businesses(like pizza shops etc) do it all the time,
they may have to have some kind of permit but if you are under age, more than likely you will be exempt
What if you put an ad up on Craigslist.com, just an idea

Window wash mix water and vinegar
how much white distilled vinegar do I need to make a car window wash for the summer months that wont eat at the rubber wipers yet still clean well?Window wash mix water and vinegar
1/2 cup Vinegar to 2 cups water works well. For a streak free clean, use newspaper instead of paper towels, although I'm not sure why that actually works, it workes very well.

Can I use oxi clean in my cold water wash?
Do I have to mix it in warm water first or just add it to my cold water wash? Can I use oxi clean in my cold water wash?
It needs hot water to work. Use tide stain out or Clorox2 instead. Can I use oxi clean in my cold water wash?
Yes you can it works in the cold wash also.
I use in all the time in cold water.
It does not have to have hot water. I have used it for two years and put it in every wash. It works great in hot or cold water. I think it works way better than Clorox2 does.
Oxiclean, Biz, Clorox 2 and all the others work best in warm water. they can work in cold but the time of the cycle length must be increased. All of these products need at least 1 hour in hot water, 2 in warm and 6-8 in cold to do the job. Any other usage is just a waste of money (and what the manufacturers want).

How does a downy fabric softener ball function even in a cold water wash?
When the washer goes into its first spin cycle, cetrifugal force pulls the ball sideways, with the bottom on the side of the washer and the top pointing towards the center. The spin cycle is fast enough that it pulls the rubber stopper at the top of the ball back in. Then, during the rinse cycle, it fills with water, which releases the softener. How does a downy fabric softener ball function even in a cold water wash?
it is the action of the spin cycle that opens the ball not the water temp. How does a downy fabric softener ball function even in a cold water wash?
It's all about the agitation. Prior to the rinse cycle, the washing machine agitates the load this causes the ball top to pop open and then as water fills for the rinse cycle it mixes with the softener. :) At least that's what I think happens. LOL
It does'nt matter what temp it is hot or cold it opens up in the spin cycle I love those things that way you dont have to wash for the spin cycle you just throw it in and thats that
The ball works in any temp water because it works during the spin cycle and it doesnt really have anything to do with teh temp of the water. I am not sure exactly how it works, but i think that it has something to do with the weight that is on the little plunger thing that is underneath the rubber seal that closes the ball. When the washer starts the spin cycle, that weight gets pulled into the ball by the centrivical (or however you spell it) force and pulls the seal open and all of the downy comes out.
