What chemical will make my wash water ';spot free';?

I am washing my motorcycle and I can't get the water residue off. I don't want to buy some mystery formula that might work. Is it ammonia or alcohol? Are these safe on plastic and paint, etc? What chemical will make my wash water ';spot free';?
Vinegar mixed with water and newspaper instead of papertowel will work WONDERS!

Google the mixture ratio and double check with a specialist regarding the paint and what it can handle as far as ';chemicals'; go. But the vinegar and water thing is an ancient window washing technique and it's safer for the environment and you opposed to chemicals. What chemical will make my wash water ';spot free';?
Remove hard water spots?

Vinegar.
vinegar works well for not leaving spots
The spots are left behind mineral residues from the water. Use a soft water rinse, a touch of vinigar can help, or hand dry the water off before it spots.
Mr Clean sell a car wash system in the supermarkets that leaves no water spots
idk
go to well
NO.

Get a Mr. Clean Auto Washing Kit.

It has has a filter that removes all the minerals etc and lets you rinse your vehicle with virtually pure water (no spots, etc). I think it costs around $25 at most department stores.
