Why cant I run bath water and wash dishes at the same time?

Probably because you don't have enough water pressure to perform both tasks. The leak is probably whats causing it, when you get it fixed I would ask him to check the water pressure while hes at it couldn't hurt!Why cant I run bath water and wash dishes at the same time?
you have not really asked a question that makes sense. if you are referring to the fact that you get cold water in your bath when someone turns on got water to wash dishes that would mean you need a new updated faucet in your bath tub. it will have an anti scalding mech, in it that will prevent that from happening. replacing your hot water heater will not fix this problem. remember a leaking heater is costing you a ton of money just to heat the water that is wasted and then there is the water that is being wasted and the damage that is being done from the water and if you have a leak be prepared to have a flash flood when it does break. because not only will you have the water that is in the tank but also the water that will keep running.
